這是一本場景非常宏大的科幻小說。但是我感覺有一個地方還帶點奇幻色彩，因為女主艾瑟琳在接觸地底凶獸的時候突然覺醒瞭屬於她曾曾曾曾曾祖父的女兒的記憶，然後兩者閤為一體，有點像轉世的感覺，是不是很神奇。其他的故事和情節則都屬於科幻大片的設定。
