Photographer Vivian Maier’s allure endures even though many details of her life continue to remain a mystery. Vivian Maier: The Color Work is the largest and most highly curated published collection of Maier’s full-color photographs to date.
With a foreword by world-renowned photographer Joel Meyerowitz and text by curator Colin Westerbeck, this definitive volume sheds light on the nature of Maier’s color images, examining them within the context of her black-and-white work as well as the images of street photographers with whom she clearly had kinship, like Eugene Atget and Lee Friedlander. 评分##摄影集中大部分作品为70年代的，但从摄影集中的几张照片来看，她对于彩色胶片的使用至少应该始于50年代中期，基本可以很彩色相机面向大众的时间相吻合！虽然不少照片有些乏味可陈，但不失为时代的记录，也可领略薇薇安迈尔的照相技术之稳定！或许她的黑白照片太惊艳了，会让人对她的彩色照片有很高要求，但放在同时代比较，其实还是很惊艳的！
