Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. The price of her art skyrockets, and she, the silent patient, is hidden away from the tabloids and spotlight at the Grove, a secure forensic unit in North London.
Theo Faber is a criminal psychotherapist who has waited a long time for the opportunity to work with Alicia. His determination to get her to talk and unravel the mystery of why she shot her husband takes him down a twisting path into his own motivations—a search for the truth that threatens to consume him....

##page turner.. but does NOT make sense - Theo knew fully well why she didn't talk from the beginning, 之后的上下求索是闲的？以及结局，完全不make sense. 无缘无故地去杀人，再一次，闲的？铺垫4/5本书还以为是什么了不起的惊天秘密
评分##It's not bad, but not as good as people make it out to be.
评分##3星半吧。故事还可以，有psychological thriller共通的优势（情节抓人，读起来放不下）和缺点（后劲小/值得回味的地方少，甚至越回味越不对劲），人物就差一些。如果读一本书只是为了那一个twist，无论读的时候猜不猜得到，我好像都不太喜欢。
评分##起先听了一个小时有声书都准备放弃了，还好听从建议改为阅读。后半部分几乎一口气读完。是不是我读的悬疑太少了，这么容易代入。一直在期待反转然而还是震惊了。

评分##前面慢慢听了很多天觉得很拖沓，但后面还是很精彩的！不像一般的thriller那么吓人，听了作者访谈他觉得更是suspense，也受到希区柯克的影响。
