Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. His determination to get her to talk and unravel the mystery of why she shot her husband takes him down a twisting path into his own motivations—a search for the truth that threatens to consume him....

近几年看过叙述最棒的故事之一 读完很想找人讲话 又感觉像题目里的女主角一样哑口无言 跟“gone girl”大卖之后成堆出现的俗套“心理悬疑/人格分裂”类妖艳贱货很不一样 this debut novel is fresh, bone-chilling, meticulous, and disturbingly good. 每一章都很短 你会一直跟自己说just one more chapter然后完全放不下来 到后半部分你觉得在震惊里经历了“ah ha”moment之后 结尾还有更强大的反转等着你 整个叙事和句式风格明明都很easy 但读完让你感觉deeply uneasy 推荐给想读个好故事、但不介意情感上有几天包袱的人
评分##前面慢慢听了很多天觉得很拖沓，但后面还是很精彩的！不像一般的thriller那么吓人，听了作者访谈他觉得更是suspense，也受到希区柯克的影响。
