內容簡介
《中西文化比較》共包括九章。第一章為概論部分,考察文化的定義、文化的要素、文化的分類、文化比較的態度等內容,引導學生對文化差異性進行批判性理解。第二章重點討論地理環境及經濟形態對文化産生與發展的影響。第三章旨在讓學生瞭解中西宗教文化的差異及其影響,進而探索産生這種差異的原因;重點是基督教的神人觀與一神論及中國宗教的天人觀與多神論之間的差異與影響。第四章重點闡述中西文化的價值基礎及中西社會行為規範,如西方文化中的機會均等、個人本位與中國文化中的忠孝仁義及群體認同。第五章為中西語言與思維的比較,重點討論中西語言在語音、詞匯、語法和句法層麵的宏觀差異以及中西思維方式的差彆,使學生在比較中深入理解中西文化的認識基礎,即中西思維方式的異同並理解語言與文化的復雜關係。第六章為中西教育理念及方法的比較,重點分析中西教學方式、學習風格、學習策略與師生關係的差異,旨在引導學生反思並對中西教育教學實踐差異作齣非實質主義解讀,幫助學生批判理解中西教育與學術文化的差彆、交融與共通。第七章為中西藝術比較,重點討論“寫意”的中國藝術和“寫實”的西方藝術的風格及其錶現形式;中西美術分野、演變及其文化闡釋。第八章為中西文學比較,在分析中西方詩歌異同的基礎上,重點討論瞭中國的詞與西方十四行詩之間的異同及其文化闡釋。第九章為中西音樂比較及發展演變,重點分析中西民間音樂所具有的共性特徵及民間音樂在音樂發展史上不可取代的地位,以批駁西方純音樂至上的偏見。《中西文化比較》是西安交通大學通識類核心課程“中西文化比較”課程建設的成果。教材使用對象為選修該門通識類核心課程的大學生或研究生。因《中西文化比較》的主要目的是加深學生對中西方文化基本特徵的批判性認識,開拓視野,提升跨文化交流能力,因此對於希望係統深入瞭解中西文化差異並提高英語水平的讀者,也不失為一本有價值的參考書。
作者簡介
楊瑞英,西安交通大學外國語學院教授,博士研究生導師。西北大學英語語言文學學士,英國伯明翰大學文學碩士,新加坡國立大學博士;曾在美國密西根大學,荷蘭格羅寜根大學訪學;2012-2014主持西安交通大學通識核心課程“中西文化比較”課程建設並為該課程主講教師之一,現任內布拉斯加林肯大學孔子學院中方院長,開設中國文化講座課程;在應用語言學領域齣版專住一部。發錶論文近20篇並主編與參與編寫英語教材多部。
