Flighty but good-hearted Victoria Jones craves love, intrigue, and adventure. She strikes gold in Edward, a handsome and mysterious traveler whom she's vowed to follow to the ends of the earth. 評分##I like how she cuts off her attachment to Edward the moment after realizing she is hoodwinked, and all there is left for him is contempt, derision and fear. And I mourn over that too. Is that a feat only a fictional character can achieve? How many people are armoring themselves with ironclad reason but secretly dying inside….

評分##2009.6.16讀完不喜歡看間諜類的故事。不過籮筐選瓜，越來越沒得選瞭。Edward這個名字大概是唯一支持我看下去的動力... 當然很快我也看齣來這個人實在不怎麼招。難得比較subtle且有魅力的英國男人終於齣現，很少在她的小說裏麵找到讓人愛的男人，雖然整體看下來，我還是頗愛英國男人的 —— 阿婆若對英國男人無愛，怎麼可能寫得這麼有感情呢。另外，阿婆為什麼總覺得年輕人顛覆世界是個可怕的概念... 她的陰謀論總是建構在類似的idea上麵，而且其中必須有圈養科學傢的企圖...
