The Silmarillion is an account of the Elder Days, of the First Age of Tolkien's world. It is the ancient drama to which the characters in The Lord of the Rings look back, and in whose events some of them such as Elrond and Galadriel took part. The tales of The Silmarillion are set in an age when Morgoth, the first Dark Lord, dwelt in Middle-Earth, and the High Elves made war upon him for the recovery of the Silmarils, the jewels containing the pure light of Valinor. harpercolins的精装版，有塑封，这本是精灵宝钻30周年的纪念版，美美的设计，凑齐托尔金一系列很是壮观。京东的价格还不错，可惜自己入坑晚了。

这本书快绝版了，搭配活动优惠还是比较合适的，太喜欢这一套托尔金系列了，可惜京东上有货的只有三本了，真希望还有补货啊。

　　方平先生主编、主译的这个版本是头一个用诗体翻译的莎士比亚全集译本。莎士比亚戏剧的原貌是诗剧，是以素诗体（blank verse）为基本形式的诗剧，以诗体译诗体，尽量使译文在语气、语言节奏感上更接近莎剧原貌，是这个版本的最终诉求。还有并非无关紧要的是，这个译本是全新、最晚出的，方平先生又终生研究莎士比亚，生前是中国莎士比亚协会会长，国际莎士比亚协会执行理事。这个译本因此溶入了全新的莎学研究成果，每部剧作和诗歌作品之前均有“前言”——分析作品的艺术特色、人物形象和思想主题等，对这部作品做出恰如其分的综合评价；之后又附有简明扼要的“考证”——对此部作品
