作者簡介

Michael Ondaatje was born in Sri Lanka in 1943. In the 1950s he moved to England, and went to school in south London. In 1962 he emigrated to Canada, where he has lived ever since. His books include his memoir, Running in the Family, numerous collections of poetry, and five novels. Introducer Biography: Pico Iyer's books include Video Night in Kathmandu and Falling off the Map.

這本書的印刷質量很好，可是書角有很大一段褶皺，這個讓人心裏不是很舒服。之前看過英國病人的電影，很為之震撼，所以一定要買來原著拜讀一番

　　這兩段愛情帶著完全相反的意象和內涵，豐富瞭讀者對愛情的理解。作者邁剋爾•翁達傑是加拿大籍詩人和小說傢，1946年齣生於斯裏蘭卡一個顯赫的殖民者傢族，血統復雜。其父因酗酒使傢道中落，他先隨其母到英國生活後又到加拿大定居，現在大學裏教英國文學，他現今已發錶詩集和小說幾十本，《英國病人》是他最著名的作品，同名電影是1997年奧斯卡最佳影片。
