《寻找维尼》讲述了一个真实的故事。故事中的人类主角是作者的曾外祖父哈利?科尔伯恩。哈利在前往欧洲参加一战途中，用20美元从猎人手里买下了一头失去父母的小熊，并给这头小熊起名叫“维尼(winnie)”。他与维尼形影不离，彼此产生了深厚的感情。但战争一触即发，他最终不得不将维尼送去伦敦动物园照管。分别之际，他告诉维尼：尽管他们即将分离，但重要的是他永远爱它，而它永远是自己的维尼。

维尼是宝贝很喜欢的一个卡通人物，每次去迪士尼都要去小熊维尼排队玩。包括我们也是从这本书上才了解到原来小熊维尼居然还有这么一段传奇的故事。宝贝连着听读了几遍，爱不释手。
