In the ashes of a dying world, Red finds a letter marked “Burn before reading. Signed, Blue.”
So begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents in a war that stretches through the vast reaches of time and space.
Red belongs to the Agency, a post-singularity technotopia. Blue belongs to Garden, a single vast consciousness embedded in all organic matter. Their pasts are bloody and their futures mutually exclusive. They have nothing in common—save that they’re the best, and they’re alone.

##hmmmm最後圓的還是有些cliche 但是這也太浪漫瞭吧！【I sought loneliness when I was young. But when I think of you, I want to be alone together】【I want to scorch the thousand earths between us to see what blooms from the ash, so we can discover it hand in hand, content in context, intelligible only to each other. I want to meet you in every place I have loved】
評分##比起說這是一本科幻書，更像是一本情書散文書。一開始讀的時候滿頭霧水，抱著一直想要放棄的心情讀下去，後麵越來越好看。奇妙地用歌名、十六進製顔色、燃燒顔色對應自己愛人的元素、石頭、花朵、蝴蝶、土著語、書名、諺語等來稱呼自己的愛人。在時間綫之間的穿梭與因果修改，有種拉普拉斯妖的感覺。記得裏麵提及的時間綫有——圓明園、瘟疫對印加帝國的影響、Bess of Cavendish、神秘博士、貿易變動對明朝匯率的影響、亞特蘭蒂斯、林則徐、鄭成功……但是，再次提醒下，這是一本關於愛情的書。
評分##我本來都已經打算開始啃英文瞭，結果居然被我找到瞭翻譯版。這本書太浪漫瞭，這種形式的科幻小說真的是第一次見，很不錯。
評分##讀一半就能猜齣劇情 書信裏描述的半吊子世界觀讓人沒頭沒腦；雖然書信感人 但不是都因為愛情願意為對方犧牲自己瞭嗎 女主之一又有瞭老公什麼鬼。。。很失望
評分##之前看到有人說書裏短暫的討論瞭明朝時候銀幣短缺的後果還有林某人虎門銷煙等等的這麼個time travel故事 看簡介又紅又藍的雙方也以為會有些什麼政治上的隱喻 實在是大大的誤解 本質上是個YA愛情故事 雖然寫的很poetic (可能因為是書信體 感覺故事發展略..choppy(? 當然也可能是本人水平不夠不懂欣賞這種意識流
評分##今年星雲奬得主，穿越時空的殺死伊芙。劇情非常少，大部分是兩個女人的情書。很詩意，很浪漫——有點太浪漫瞭，浪漫到有點兒牙磣。“I’ll be all the poets, I’ll kill them all and take each one’s place in turn, and every time love’s written in all the strands it will be to you.”

評分##《手把手教你如何寫情書》。很散漫的故事結構，與其說是科幻不如是奇幻。過於跳躍的時間綫加上略意識流的寫作很難讓我沉浸其中，被交口稱贊的“浪漫”也在這種情況下顯得easy and cheap瞭，不過在看到 “I hope you won’t mind my feeling a little proud of you for such a magnificent betrayal.”這句的時候還是被驚艷瞭一下。
