The bride – The plus one – The best man – The wedding planner – The bridesmaid – The body
On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine, or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed.
But perfection is for plans, and people are all too human. As the champagne is popped and the festivities begin, resentments and petty jealousies begin to mingle with the reminiscences and well wishes. The groomsmen begin the drinking game from their school days. The bridesmaid not-so-accidentally ruins her dress. The bride’s oldest (male) friend gives an uncomfortably caring toast.
And then someone turns up dead. Who didn’t wish the happy couple well? And perhaps more important, why?

評分##失望的原因並不是因為能猜到whodunit, 也不僅僅是因為期待值太高而未達到（不少人拿它跟阿加莎的作品相比），主要還是因為將受害者和凶手同時隱藏到故事最後是很冒險的寫法，這是一種比較漫長的build up, 因此當讀者輕易猜到一切的時刻就會自然覺得anticlimactic……除此之外，各個人物登場雖然好像筆墨不少，但其實人物刻畫的並不形象豐滿（除瞭知道每個人都有過去的秘密就沒什麼其他的瞭），整個故事也沒有什麼可以凝練的現實意義（也許是我要求太高，但最近幾年很多好的懸疑作品都有很不錯的take home messages）...反正是失望的。唯一很成功的地方就是有聲版的演員演繹得都很棒。

評分##年度最囉嗦劇本殺劇本… 我讀這本書的整體感受：前10% - 我為啥要買這本書？50%- 怎麼都是流水賬？ 70% - 大段的跳讀ing... 就這真的是2020懸疑最佳？ 90% - 喲！這個反轉，雖然我都猜到瞭，有點爽到；100% - 真的是為姐則剛啊……
評分##不理解為啥在kindly評分那麼高。 幸虧後來買瞭有聲書。 真的不值得花時間讀。 節奏太慢瞭。 睡一覺醒來還接的上。
評分##★★★有聲版的多人演繹很有廣播劇的體驗，比較獨特的寫法是不但需要猜凶手，還需要猜死者，直到最後1/10纔揭曉被殺的是誰。前麵2/3都很瑣碎平淡很難進入故事，不過可以看齣來作者需要在不到兩天的時間跨度內為這麼多嫌疑犯都鋪設好動機真是用心良苦。後麵部分緊張很多，凶手基本上一目瞭然，因為雖然貌似人人都有動機，實際明顯精心準備且有能力實施的也隻有這一個人而已。多視角的敘事技巧高超，邏輯也基本嚴密所有的坑都能填好，可惜沒有任何的驚喜。
評分##95%的內容鋪墊到瞭最後花瞭5%把這個圈畫圓，就和大傢說的一樣有點失望
