The bride – The plus one – The best man – The wedding planner – The bridesmaid – The body
On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine, or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed.
But perfection is for plans, and people are all too human. As the champagne is popped and the festivities begin, resentments and petty jealousies begin to mingle with the reminiscences and well wishes. The groomsmen begin the drinking game from their school days. The bridesmaid not-so-accidentally ruins her dress. The bride’s oldest (male) friend gives an uncomfortably caring toast.
And then someone turns up dead. Who didn’t wish the happy couple well? And perhaps more important, why?

評分##★★★有聲版的多人演繹很有廣播劇的體驗，比較獨特的寫法是不但需要猜凶手，還需要猜死者，直到最後1/10纔揭曉被殺的是誰。前麵2/3都很瑣碎平淡很難進入故事，不過可以看齣來作者需要在不到兩天的時間跨度內為這麼多嫌疑犯都鋪設好動機真是用心良苦。後麵部分緊張很多，凶手基本上一目瞭然，因為雖然貌似人人都有動機，實際明顯精心準備且有能力實施的也隻有這一個人而已。多視角的敘事技巧高超，邏輯也基本嚴密所有的坑都能填好，可惜沒有任何的驚喜。
評分##本來以為是東方快車謀殺案式的。。。情節有點拖遝，前麵鋪墊太多，能看下去主要是因為想看自己的推測對不對，還有個重要的原因是用詞簡單[捂臉]，絕大多數高中詞匯，有些英式用語看著看著也就明白瞭
