Thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. 純國外原版書，書的大小和重量使得拿在手裏看非常閤適。與遊戲不同的是幽靈行動遊戲給人火爆刺激同時不失策略性的實戰感覺。這本小說則更多的描述瞭戰場的殘酷與人物的心理和情感，總的來講和遊戲的感覺差彆比較大。不過遊戲的粉絲與軍事小說迷絕不可錯過。
