作者简介

Audrey Niffenegger is an exceptionally creative writer and visual artist who has achieved enormous success in both worlds. Her debut novel, The Time Traveler's Wife, has sold nearly five million copies worldwide and has been translated into thirty-three languages to date. A Richard & Judy book club choice in the UK, it has been a huge bestseller all round the world. In the Daily Telegraph's readers' poll of the 'Top 50 Books of All Time' it appeared at no. 11. Niffenegger is also the author of two 'novels-in-pictures', The Three Incestuous Sisters (2005) and The Adventuress (2006), both published by Jonathan Cape. Her graphic novel The Night Bookmobile was recently serialized in the Guardian and will be published soon on the Cape Graphic list. A Chicago native, Niffenegger received her MFA in Printmaking and Drawing from Northwestern University. Her art has been widely exhibited in the United States and is in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress and Harvard University's Houghton Library.

Henry De Tamble is a Chicago librarian with 'Chrono Displacement' disorder; at random times, he suddenly disappears without warning and finds himself in the past or future, usually at a time or place of importance in his life. 读了这本书之后，我发现作者在做班主任工作的时候也有很多的无奈，她曾经这样说过：“‘只有不会教的老师，没有教不好的学生’——在我看来，这句话和‘人有多大胆，地有多大产’是一路的。如果是教师之外的人这样说的，那他就是在恶意地欺负人，把教师往绝路上逼；如果教师自己这样说，那他不是幼稚就是自大狂，迟早要碰个头破血流。我曾经属于后一类。那时，我处于极度危险的境地。”看薛老师这些话，你能觉得这是一个真实的老师，她说的话就象是邻居唠家常那样真诚自然。对于书中她大胆、直率的言辞，我很钦佩，不是每个人都有这种胆识、思维的。她能把一件看似简单惯常的事情剖析提头头是道，透过了表象看到了它的内在根源。她有勇气把一些不同与大家都说的话写在纸上，让别人看，虽然多数人心理或许也如她所想。但凭这一点儿，就让人佩服至极。比如，她对“老师象蜡烛、春蚕”，“没有教不好的学生，只有教不好的老师”这些话的评析，一针见血，道出了我们老师的共同心声。之所以造就了她感说真话，敢于抵制一切不利于学生成长和进步的制度。因为薛老师的人生信念就是：缺乏真诚、理性和趣味的日子是不值得过的。教育教学中有了平衡愉悦的心态，正确的定位和良好的策略，才能在饱满热情中，在正确策略中扶植学生向上。 薛老师在自序中写道，“我是特意捕捉了清风、乐声和野芳，录在这里，专门用于鼓励自己，就算是不定期地给自己献一小朵小花吧——真诚美丽的文字，正是心灵开出的花朵。”又一次阐述了她的人生信念——-真诚。读了全书，给我最深刻的感受也是她的真诚，我看到了一个真实的人，一个真诚的老师。当学生的时候，老师是权威，跟老师的交往总是处于向上看的状态，学生是一定要小心翼翼的，多数情况还是听老师说的多，自己发表意见少。现在当了家长，为了孩子跟老师也没少打交道，但是一直觉得自己好多真实的想法不敢说，老师呢，说出来的也有一些让人觉得是官话套话。看了这本书，我想我们也许都错了，老师跟学生、老师跟家长，平等地真诚的交流其实并不难。工作是艰辛——往往也是孤独的。可是，于飞尘的间隙也有清风，于喧嚷的中间也有乐声，于荆棘的丛中也有野芳。我是特意捕捉了清风、乐声和野芳，录在这里，专门用于鼓励自己，就算是不定期地给自己献一朵小花吧——真诚美丽的文字，正是心灵开出的花朵。也有沉重和迷惘。但我的文字，往往略掉了疲惫、沮丧和困苦——无涉乎诚实、全面与否，这是我的选择——有意的，我将目光投在了值得的地方，心得体会

　　无论是以孔子为代表的儒家思想，还是以老子为代表的道家思想，无不以高尚的道德做为他们的至高境界。宋代文人苏辙就曾写道：“辙生好为文，思之至深。以为文者气之所形，然文不可以学而能，气可以养而至。”这就说明，道德是做人的基本准则，只要我们能够从身边的小事做起，从一点一滴做起，就会成为一个有道德的人。

喜欢电影才来买的书，算是了却一个心愿吧。不过全英文的实在看不下去。

书还是很不错的，读了一段时间，书的大小尺寸还挺合适，但是，又一股味道，纸质是环保纸，淡颜色较暗！
