中川千寻（NAKAGAWA，Chihiro），1958年出生，从小喜欢阅读，以成为翻译家为目标努力学英语，东京艺术大学美术系艺术专业毕业，目前定居于日本琦玉县。以英美儿童文学翻译家、绘本作家以及插画家的多重身份，活跃于日本童书界。译作有卡内基文学奖作品《给你的信》（贝利·多尔蒂著）、凯特·格林纳威大奖绘本“小水手提姆”系列（爱德华·阿迪宗著／绘），以及《有一天》（艾莉森·麦基著／彼德·雷诺兹绘）、《机器人心里的蓝鸟》（大卫·卢卡斯著／绘）等多部作品。1995年开始绘本创作，自编自画的作品有《仙姬城的秘密》《小章鱼娜娜》《恐龙蛋》《我好像长过尾巴哩！》《河童的蜕皮》《怪物看招！》《我爱小鸟》等，与插画家合作的作品有“小人儿帮手”系列等。以《养天使的方法》获得日本绘本奖读者奖。
