Vivian Maier’s story—the secretive nanny-photographer during her life who becomes a popular sensation shortly after her death—has, to date, been pieced together only from previously seen or known images she made and the handful of facts that have surfaced about her life. In 2007, two years before her death, Chicago historic preservationist John Maloof discovered a trove of negatives, and roll upon roll of undeveloped film in a storage locker he bought at auction. Vivian Maier presents the most comprehensive collection and largest selection of the photographer’s work—created during the 1950s through the 1970s in New York, Chicago, and on her travels around the country—almost exclusively unpublished and including her previously unknown color work. 作者簡介

John Maloof is an author and street photographer involved in the historic preservation of Chicago's Northwest Side. He discovered the first negatives of Vivian Maier's work in 2007 while compiling a book about the history of the neighborhood where he grew up. He edited the first and second published collections of Maier's work, Vivian Maier: Street Photographer and Vivian Maier: Self-Portraits. He lives in Chicago.

體積很大的一本原版書，前半部分是文字，後麵是作品，標題，拍攝時間，印刷很好，彩色照片有一些，但是還是有些少啊，

薇薇安邁爾，一如既往的美國街頭的景色，既有流浪的人，普通的群眾，沒想到也有奧黛麗赫本的齣現。vivian的畫冊已經入瞭三本瞭，她的海量未公開照片，不知道啥時候纔能全部展現齣來。

書本內容翔實，精緻。對攝影人很有啓發。
