具体描述
A dentist lies murdered at his Harley Street practice...The dentist was found with a blackened hole below his right temple. A pistol lay on the floor near his outflung right hand. Later, one of his patients was found dead from a lethal dose of local anaesthetic. A clear case of murder and suicide. But why would a dentist commit a crime in the middle of a busy day of appointments? A shoe buckle holds the key to the mystery. 评分##看到目前为止最不喜欢的一个故事。不对我的胃口。
评分##总有“人上人”觉得这个社会的底层人是可有可无，甚至自大地觉得他们精英才配活着，真可笑。最后凶手还“慷慨”地给了波洛一个选择，波洛这么固执的人怎么可能被收买，于是凶手把自己作死透了。

评分##2008.7.10 事到如今，居然一点都想不起来这本书是讲什么的。就记得那个女人是怎么死的。——写到这里，我用力想了一下，又想起来了：嗯，也是有点政治阴谋论。我建议书的标题改为：投资银行家之死。
评分##故事有点太简单了⋯⋯感觉案件复杂程度还不如阿婆的一些小短篇⋯⋯不过第一次看到阿婆抨击老旧势力也实在是很难得的（她的好多作品譬如destination unknown和they came to Baghdad都视挑战旧势力的新思想为洪水猛兽）
