A dentist lies murdered at his Harley Street practice...The dentist was found with a blackened hole below his right temple. A pistol lay on the floor near his outflung right hand. Later, one of his patients was found dead from a lethal dose of local anaesthetic. A clear case of murder and suicide. 評分##總有“人上人”覺得這個社會的底層人是可有可無，甚至自大地覺得他們精英纔配活著，真可笑。最後凶手還“慷慨”地給瞭波洛一個選擇，波洛這麼固執的人怎麼可能被收買，於是凶手把自己作死透瞭。

評分##早先讀過中文版，居然已經不記得劇情，也不記得凶手是誰。可見這本書——太復雜，太多旁支錯節，有故弄玄虛之嫌。
