Cats and people carry on conversations, a ghostlike pimp employs a Hegel-quoting prostitute, a forest harbors soldiers apparently unaged since World War II, and rainstorms of fish fall from the sky. There is a brutal murder, with the identity of both victim and perpetrator a riddle. 评分No matter how sappy Murakami gets, I will never get tired of him. Kafka on the Shore is an archetypical novel, but also a very modern one. It's about how one becomes brave and becomes themselves, accepting the dull truth of the world, while not losing interest. I am so sad to say goodbye to it.

评分##始读于十月虚无的小长假，终于赶在冬日到来前看完，村上君用双线叙事的结构，创造出一个属于隐喻的世界，再佐以形形色色的人，展开缓缓叙述。无论是“责任始自梦想”的决绝，抑或是“无须思考且听风吟”的躲避，甚至是“成为世界一部分”的勇气，描摹出世界的无理与荒谬。好在最后的结尾颇为温情，尚有一种超脱的希望。遥想我初阅此书时还不及田村卡夫卡君的年纪，等恍惚明白时，又早已丧失成为世界toughest少年的机会，可于字里行间之中，还能得到些许慰藉，使我颇为自足，仿佛如海边拾贝的少年，一眼望去，总也看不见尽头。
