Cats and people carry on conversations, a ghostlike pimp employs a Hegel-quoting prostitute, a forest harbors soldiers apparently unaged since World War II, and rainstorms of fish fall from the sky. There is a brutal murder, with the identity of both victim and perpetrator a riddle. 評分No matter how sappy Murakami gets, I will never get tired of him. Kafka on the Shore is an archetypical novel, but also a very modern one. It's about how one becomes brave and becomes themselves, accepting the dull truth of the world, while not losing interest. I am so sad to say goodbye to it.
