　　於品和Garving K. Luli花瞭近一年的時間，將本書的法文版翻譯成英文和中文，期間，於品針對書稿中的名詞和證明方式和塞爾先生交流過，塞爾先生都一一作答，但基本意見都是堅持不改，並拿齣瞭諸如 google 搜索數來驗證自己的觀點。真是個固執的老頭兒。

　　小編在與塞爾先生因《有限群導引》一書打交道的過程中，深刻地體會到瞭老一代數學傢身上具備的對待學術認真、執著優良品質。而且這樣一位偉大的數學傢，完全沒有大數學傢的派頭，逢郵件必及時迴，經常告知書稿進展，非常nice，但同時也是一個非常固執但固執得有道理的老頭。
