評分##本書主要討論暴力迴報率的變化對政治的影響，也就是作者所謂的“大政治分析”。整本書並不難懂，就是有些地方太過囉嗦。 影響暴力迴報率的四個主要因素有地理、氣候、微生物和技術。最有意思的是書中很多事都已經成瞭現實，包括在全球傳播的疾病、民族主義的泛濫以及最近元宇宙的大火等等。
評分##前半段非常精彩，考慮到寫於上世紀更令人難以置信。可惜後半段質量差好多，完全可以精簡下砍掉很多重復和與主綫關聯不大的部分就更完美瞭

評分##武斷的論點太多，係統紮實的論據太少，論證過程太不嚴密，無法令人舒適地認同。有不少想法很有意思，值得深挖和討論
