The economy was booming. People had more money than they knew what to do with. And then the earthquake struck. Katagiri returns home to find a giant frog in his apartment on a mission to save Tokyo from a massive burrowing worm. 'When he gets angry, he causes earthquakes,' says Frog. 'And right now he is very, very angry'.

评分##村上春树的短篇小说是凭意像取胜的，像诗歌里的意像一样新颖，准确，例如《UFO》里空空的包裹，《Super frog》里的无私无畏的大青蛙，《Thailand》里长在身体里的石头（如果你有秘密，身体就会有石头）《landscape with Flatiron》里的bonefire，想到这个意像小说已经成功一半了。阅读村上春树的短篇小说非常愉快，所以通常读完沉重的书就读一本。
