評分##有些書難讀，但是讀下來還是能學到一些東西，所以還是值得。這本書文字流暢，但是看完沒覺得有什麼收獲，最多算雞湯，太長，所以是特大的一鍋雞湯！作者對現狀太樂觀，數據的選擇讓人生疑。以後蓋茨推薦的書要等一段時間再讀，水分太多。
評分主旨就是從各方麵花式論證人類在變好，贊美啓濛思想的意義和效果。有的章節論證比較充分令人信服，但是部分章節也很牽強，選擇的數據圖錶都是有利於自己的，反麵觀點就一筆帶過，因果邏輯模糊，所以我還是站在持懷疑態度的一方。閱讀這本書可以增強對人類的信心，減輕悲觀主義，算是一碗科學雞湯。

評分##人類的進步絕對不是誤打誤撞的奇跡，而是理性在暗夜裏英雄主義的抗爭。平剋也絕非淪於精英主義的自我陶醉，而是恰如其分的闡釋啓濛思想這個稀釋在幾個世紀裏的概念的現世意義。
評分##我的求生欲真的挺強，剛對人類社會産生巨大失落感，馬上開始高強度閱讀Steven Pinker試圖緩解局勢，重新相信我們在發展進步、世界在變好……具體效果待定，可能要加大馬力來激活我逐漸被掩埋的樂觀主義。 不患寡而不均的思維方式不可取，用發展的角度解決環境問題，民主的代價與價值……還是忍不住聯想到疫情，不知這一場天災人禍之後，世界會如何改變。
