評分##畢業時候係裏送的書，原來是係裏的教授寫的… 以為是數學史，結果是科普。準備快速翻完，留著給小孩看，畢竟還是有我大學最喜歡的數學教授的簽名。｜前半部分基礎講完，書的後半部分還是有點東西。結尾讓人震撼。
評分##本書英文標題的字麵意思其實是無窮的力量，中文標題用瞭意譯 叫微積分的力量，讓目標讀者直觀瞭解這本書在講啥。無窮是緣起，微積分是結果。這本書是一本極好的激發數學興趣和愛好的啓濛讀物，也是很棒的一本講述曆代著名數學傢生世的故事書。我沒想到笛卡爾嬌慣一生，最終因為要給女王上早課，而死於肺炎。也沒想到 微分的秘密藏在高中學過的不斷減小的數列裏（這種豁然開朗式的理解帶來的快樂是物質上的快樂無法比擬的）。我工作跟醫學和醫學影像都密切相關，這本書裏講瞭好些微積分在醫學和成像中的應用和貢獻，讓我倍感親切同時又相見恨晚。比如CT的成像，如何從多條衰減的射綫中重建處一個層麵裏的2D圖像。本書也讓我對維度詛咒有更加具體的認知。本書把相對論中涉及的現象，比如物質如何時空相互作用等講得趣味十足。
