評分一直覺得作者在寫的時候一直在問自己"如果把某某情況再往前推兩步會導緻什麼結果？”戲劇張力相當棒，每個人的個性都很飽滿。沒啥討喜的不討喜的角色，大傢麵對的問題不一樣而已。

評分##《八月奧色治郡》是那種典型的精心設計的優秀美國戲劇，在這個熱得逼人瘋的傢裏，所有標題黨式的情節模塊紛至遝來。整齣戲充滿瞭punch line，反轉式情節安排在最正確的時間，真是一場好戲。傢庭的分崩同時暗自對應著美國社會的種種問題，藉此本戲有瞭諷世的意義。問題在於，這種嚴肅的思想性實在太有設計感，我想這就是為什麼本劇的電影版並不成功。
