So I took a one-way ticket to the desert and wrote this book: an album, a record, a story of my life so far. This is fifty years of my sights and seens, felts and figured-outs, cools and shamefuls. Graces, truths, and beauties of brutality. Getting away withs, getting caughts, and getting wets while trying to dance between the raindrops.
Hopefully, it's medicine that tastes good, a couple of aspirin instead of the infirmary, a spaceship to Mars without needing your pilot's license, going to church without having to be born again, and laughing through the tears.
It's a love letter. To life.
It's also a guide to catching more greenlights-and to realising that the yellows and reds eventually turn green too.

評分##如果不是作者自己朗讀，這本書光看字，某些篇章挺無聊的。離shirtless on beach或者exotic adventure from wet dreams的生活畢竟太遠瞭。Born a Texan, always one. 有些片段有佳句(good from afar and far from good). Bumper Stickers太多啦。作者的生活態度就是全力以赴而且對一切都覺得took it for granted 。大概來自於他爹：to win it is better than to afford it 。McConaissance是他自己吹牛放的風哈哈哈。
