評分##Excellent translation! I went to her talk at Yale. Such a sharp and attentive scholar. When she read out aloud her own translation--Penelope's dream and the massacre of the suitors, I was enamored by her words. She genuinely loves Homer and her passion for this literature just exuberated in the lecture hall. Energy overflows in her translation!

評分為瞭跟尤利西斯對照閱讀買的，封麵和毛邊裝幀都好美。Emily Wilson的翻譯輕靈敏捷乾脆，不失文學性和韻律感。偶有幾處用詞太現代有點跳戲，整體流暢通順。Intro第一頁說到epic這個詞有誤導性，讓人覺得史詩一定宏大輝煌，然而從詞源看，a epic poem本質上隻是一個被講述的故事。 始終讀不進富麗堂皇氣勢磅礴譯本的我終於在Emily Wilson的幫助下讀完瞭奧德賽。
